Page to Stage! Playwright and Performance Camp at The Studio at Mizner Park
Dive into the world of theater creation and performance in this exciting winter break camp! Perfect for campers aged 7-12 (December 26th and 27th) 5-9 (January 2nd-3rd) with some theater experience, this week will focus on playwriting, casting, rehearsal, and performance.
Activites to include:
- Campers will pair up, select a theme, and engage in fun brainstorming activities to kickstart their scene writing process.
- Writing partners will work together to develop their characters and structure their two-page scenes, fostering creativity and collaboration.
- Scenes will be cast among classmates, providing a unique opportunity for campers to act in a scene written by their peers.
- Actors will rehearse their scenes, honing their performance skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.
- Campers will perform their scenes for each other, showcasing their hard work and creativity.
Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm
